The Indian kings of yore took great pleasure in their favorite pastime, Shikar or hunting for game. They would often take a trip to the jungles with their entourage, looking for a good hunting session. Displayed here is a scene from one such hunting session. The prince rides a camel and moves through the dense jungles, hoping to have an encounter with a cat. His men walk along, guarding him and looking for their shikar. Swords and long spears ready in their hands, they get ready to meet any jungle cat, face to face. When a tiger gets the whiff of delicious meat and tries to attack them, the prince and his men attack it with expertise gained from the several years of experience they have in hunting. The men surround the cat with their weapons and corner it into submission, finally killing it. They would then get back home with a feeling of great triumph and achievement.
