According to Hinduism, the Brahman is the ultimate power and Sri Gayatri is the Cosmic form of that supreme power. The Gayatri mantra is a secular hymn, which all peoples of the world can chant for the purpose of peace, protection and enlightenment. Each Beejakshara (alphabet) of the Gayatri mantra is tremendously potent, having the power to prevent adversity from befalling anyone who chants the same. Devi Gayatri, the Goddess with the five faces in five colors, represents knowledge, steadiness or mind, righteousness, virtue and prosperity. Wielding the ultimate power, Mother Gayatri is said to be a combination of the powers of the Divine Trinity - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Chanting the Gayatri mantra, 'Om Bhur Bhuvah Svaha........', is said to represent the Vedas. All the Gods, even Lord Brahma himself, chants the Gayatri. Such is the Mother's power!
Devi Gayatri fulfills all her devotees' desires. Constant contemplation on the Gayatri leads one to enlightenment and can even help uplift the society as a whole.
