Terracotta, which literally means, 'baked earth', has a natural reddish orange tint and is a very versatile material, which can be put to many uses.
This being a waterproof ceramic, it is used to create sculpture, pottery, bricks, even other building material like roof shingles. The great advantage of using terracotta for sculptures is that it can be easily manipulated to form any desired shape, is lighter in weight than most other materials and has a natural, unique glow to it.
The product shown here a wonderful terracotta sculpture of a decorated horse. This figurine has been painstakingly created, bringing out each detail of the horse and its several ornaments. The thick mane, the proud swish of the tail and the erect posture, all go to make a perfect picture of the thoroughbred horse.
