Lord Krishna is a popular Hindu God and is depicted here as playing his favourite flute, because of which he is also known as Murlidhar, Murli being the sanskrit word for flute. Lord Krishna plays his flute and Radha listens on and lost in the melody. Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu, descended upon the earth at the end of the Dwapara Yuga.He is often depicted holding a flute in his hands (Murlidhar) as cowherds do and almost always wears a peacock feather in his hair. The couple symbolizes the eternal love between man and God.
