The divine love of Radha and Krishna is known to one and all. Their love was immortal and transcended all the physical realms of this mundane world. Krishna had great affection for all the Gopis (women of the Yadava clan) and used to shower his divine love on all of them. But his love for Radha was special and much beyond normal human comprehension. It is said that while the Gopis’ love for Krishna symbolized the Jeevatma’s (human soul) communion with the Paramatma (the Supreme Being), the love Radha had for Krishna actually embodied the oneness of the Jeevatma and Paramatma. This highest principle of advaita (oneness with God) is what is represented through the divine love of Radha and Krishna. Even today, there are many Radha Krishna temples all over the world, celebrating this divine bond.
Radha and Krishna stay in Vrindavan and meet each other often. Krishna plays his flute and Radha loses herself in the melodious notes coming from it. They spend much time immersed in each other, walking around the stunningly beautiful environs of Vrindavan. Featured here is a picture of Radha and Krishna sitting on a swing, enjoying their time together. Radha buries her head on his shoulder and nestles close to him, while Krishna places a protective arm around her.
