Whether or not abstract paintings should be considered works of art has been a matter of debate for very long. The truth is that the real beauty of the painting comes to light only when you study the art in detail and know why the artist chose to paint that particular picture. The abstract poster featured here is called ‘Terror’. The background is colored in an ominous midnight blue-black shade that somehow seems disconcerting and unsettling. One can see splashes of a reddish brown color, which further gives an impression of some sort of violence. Though not directly showing any figure or object, this abstract painting clearly sends across the unpleasant message of fear. This could have well been the way the artist originally depicted people’s mental states when they feared something deeply.
